You'll earn one Heart Point for each minute of moderate activity like picking up the pace when walking your dog, and double points for more intense activities like running. It takes just 30-minutes of brisk walking five days a week to reach the AHA and WHO's recommended amount of physical activity shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve sleep, and increase overall mental wellbeing.

Get instant insights when you exercise and see real-time stats for your runs, walks, and bike rides. Fit will use your Android phone's sensors or Wear OS by Google smartwatch's heart rate sensors to record your speed, pace, route, and more.

See your daily progress on your Heart Points and Steps goal. Meeting your goals all the time? Easily adjust your goals to keep challenging yourself to achieve a healthy heart and mind.

If you walk, run, or bike throughout the day, your Android phone or Wear OS by Google smartwatch will automatically detect and add your activities to your Google Fit journal to ensure you get credit for every move. This is a great app. However, it seems to have an issue on my phone with walks over an hour. When I finish my walk and go back to the app it doesn't show the current walk unless I start a new walk, then it says resuming walk. It would also be nice to track body fat percentage in addition to your weight.

Dear creator It doesn't tally the exact steps..(generally shows 500-1000 steps extra..) Kindly improve the accuracy. Adding one more negative whenever I travel in bus / car / bike etc it shows my activity as cycling..haha.. How on Earth Google Inc is expecting a novice like us to ignore the reality and think of fake exercising and also use the app!

Tracking is not accurate at all. My Garmin watch says 8000 steps and Google fit on my phone says only 1500 steps. I went for an almost 5 km run and Google fit says I only ran for 7 minutes. I wish I could run that fast. It screwed me out of Scene points on the Carrot app.

Paired this with MyPlate app, and I've never been so happy to pay attention to my activities and calories burned every day. The step counter is super accurate as well.

This app does not sync with any wearable devices that I am aware of. I don't always have my phone on me when I work around my house or yard. Therefore it is not tracking my steps accurately. It can not tracking anything unless I manually enter it. What good is this app?

Pro, Works better with #myfitnesspal app also working with a smart band #veryfit that uses you. Con, app can not tell the difference between driving and bike. Should be a user control only. If using such as excercise. Otherwise it should not count. Throws off calorie count for the negative.

Not accurate. Doesn't track the details properly. I have installed 3 pedometer apps and this one stops many times in between, whereas other two tracks the details correctly and is pretty close to each other. This one is left way far behind due to getting stopped abruptly in between and stop counting.

This used to be a good app. Not sure what's happened but the tracking is abysmal now. I often rack up hundreds of steps before getting out of bed. On the other hand it will often under-record distances I have walked. Shame.

The interface is greatly improved, and I like that is able to pick up single back and forth steps. Good job Google!

M biking it show........
M using this app since February on my moto x play its sucks app runtastic is very accurate app fir biking i biking for 5 km and google fir show that i run bikin for 0.9 km while runtastic and odd meter show near about 5 km.... ?? hate it while using high accuracy mode it drain battery too fast.... fix it please i dont like third party apps thanks

Helps keep me motivated
Down 39lbs in the last five months. Nothing magical about the app it's just helped me keep on track and focused. I have three goals two daily and one weekly and have the widgets on my screen for these goals. So every time i unlock my phone the goals are right there to remind me. Thanks google, great app!

Needs some tweaks
Nice update! But some further tweaking is definitely needed. Let us swipe through the days on the landing page, please. Also fix the way sleep is being logged. Sleep should not be logged as exercise, needs own category. Car rides are also wrongly being logged as exercise which makes results unreliable. Please Fix these annoyances as soon as possible and G Fit will really be an amazing app. I see it getting better and better and look forward to it become as good as and advanced as it deserves to be.

The step counter is inaccurate. Ran next S Health and S Health accurately counts and the Google Fit does not all of the time.

The app isn't recognising my boxing when added as a daily goal,I've added it as a twice weekly goal but although it's recorded on the timeline it's still reading zero in my goal,all other goal activities are recording properly
