Text to Speech
Makes texting so much easier in the long run , speaking within a timely manner. The only downfalls would be when I am speaking and I ask for ; : @ * ( ), and a few others, they actually type the entire word, which makes it a real hassle. Also, the other downfall is that some of the words do not come out as spoken. Otherwise, it is a wonderful tool. It would be great if you could perfect it! Just like Dragon-speak....

Used to be great Now Not
Pronunciation is WORSE THAN the old commercial of a Midwestern couple on a road trip. "Look, Harry! Real Mexican ta-MALES!" Further, when speaking the SAME WORD, it will often give very different pronunciations. This is especially irritating when asking it to read emails or the transcribed voice mail (gmail, Hangouts, etc) The result is more time trying to decipher than if I had stopped & Read it MYSELF!?! HOW can I go BACK & Select "Only Update to the Spring 2014 version?" Galaxy S3 4.3

Voices sound terrible now.
Since removing the high quality voices it sounds rubbish. I only use the female UK English voice, and it sounds as terrible as the previous low quality voice. I'm guessing your claim of improved quality only holds true for US English voices?

Good idea, but recent update makes it annoying
Not sure what happened, but since the last update it reads out the page number of the current Android tab. Very annoying bug and only disabling text-to-speech seems to work. Dear google, debug your code before any release! Recently, this type of obvious issues seems to affect many google products.

Not working at all.
It isn't working. I tap the mic icon and nothing happens. It worked just fine for a while with the exception of screwing with my music with my aux cord was in. Now it doesn't work at all!

Programs won't respect TTS settings
I think it's absolutely amazing how far TTS has come, and I love the sound of the English (India) voice, but apps, particularly Google Apps, won't respect the settings I have set and default to an American female accent that I find abrasive. The fact that some apps speak with an Indian accent, and some with an American accent, is even more annoying because it highlights the bug. If they could figure this out, it would be five starts.
